Limerick Tutorial College Parents Testimonials

“To the O’Halloran Family and the Tutorial Family, Before any exam commences or a result is achieved you are all honours level in my book. We want to thank everybody for educating, minding, guiding, caring, developing, maturing, supporting, mentoring and tutoring our daughter Susan.”

“My daughter attended Limerick Tutorial College and while it was a hard year, the encouragement, motivation and help that she received there was excellent. I have experienced other repeat leaving cert courses in other counties with my other children, but in my opinion, Limerick Tutorial College has been the best. In addition to the motivation and encouragement that she received, the practical support with the CAO and UCAS really helped her and she knew that she was following the right procedure at all times. When the time came to sit the leaving certificate, we were really impressed.  The O’Halloran’s gave the candidates a motivational talk prior to each exam and reminded them of the timing of each question etc prior to entering the exam hall.  The staff were also there for all the candidates when they finished each exam. After my daughter finished in Tutorial, the help and support still continued.  Looking at the papers, advising about the CAO and personal statement for UCAS.  The staff could not have been more helpful. For me as a parent I felt that there was also support and that I could contact the College at any time if I had an unanswered question or if I was unsure of what was to happen next. With my experience of repeat Leaving Cert Courses throughout the country, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Limerick Tutorial College to anyone and have done so on numerous occasions.”

“John, I am ringing to say thanks. Everything you told us has happened. We went in for interview two years ago to put Conor into 5th year at the Tutorial College. Conor got no A in his Junior Cert. When John Jnr. asked him what effort he had made in his first 3 years of secondary school, Conor said 5 or 6 out of 10. John Jnr. told him that this effort would not be acceptable at this college. Conor soon realised that this was true. He made this effort and in his Leaving Cert. results yesterday he got 570 points, including 4 A’s. We are delighted and thank you again.”

“Brídóg was very happy in Limerick Tutorial College. She loved the study structure here. From a parent’s point of view it is great to hear that it was one of her happiest years in secondary school. She knew she was giving it her best.”

“In August 2011 when our eldest daughter Christine was short points to study her preferred course Medicine in college, she informed us that she would be prepared to repeat. After making some enquiries we were told that the Limerick Tutorial College is the best grind school out there. After attending an appointment with Fiona at the college, we were highly impressed with every aspect of the college and their professional attitude to our daughter achieving her maximum potential points in her Leaving Certificate. With a lot of hard work, determination and support she received from teachers and staff, our daughter’s dream came through. Christine achieved her goal and is now studying Medicine in Galway.”

“Limerick Tutorial College has played an important role in two of our sons Secondary education. Having found themselves in the position of wishing to repeat their Leaving Certificate, we headed over to meet John Snr and his staff. From the moment we walked into Limerick Tutorial College we were met by smiles, friendliness and encouragement. John Jnr, Fiona and Ger welcomed us and made us feel that the boys goals were more than achievable. They did this in a very positive but realistic way. Their constant reassurance to Ronan and Eoin throughout the year meant that they both achieved their goals. Their contact with us as parents was very much appreciated, we were always aware of their progress and our phone calls were always met with concern and helpfulness. Added to this was the positive experience that boys had while attending Limerick Tutorial College. They forged great friendships which continue to this day. There is no doubt that they have benefited from their time in the Tutorial. No one likes the thought of a repeat Leaving Cert but the experience at Limerick Tutorial College was affirming and ultimately most rewarding.”

“We found Limerick Tutorial College, through its committment to best practice in academic achievement, was the optimum choice to ensure our daughter, Ellen, was academically resoursed to achieve our shared goals. Limerick Tutorial College, in challenging and encouraging her at appropriate times, fostered a determination and committment to achieve that which was within herself and we are certain is within all our children. Thank you to the Limerick Tutorial College.”
